privacy policy
last updated: january 2025
the short version: we don't collect any data. everything you do in our apps stays on your device. we have no servers, no tracking, no analytics. your information is yours alone.
our approach to privacy
mindvoy apps are built on a simple principle: your mental health data is deeply personal and should never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
we believe privacy isn't a feature—it's a fundamental right. that's why our apps are designed from the ground up to work entirely on your device, with no need for servers, accounts, or data collection.
we have no ability to access your data. not because we promise not to, but because our apps are architecturally incapable of sending us anything.
what we don't collect
here's what we don't collect, track, or have access to:
- your tasks, lists, or notes
- your positive experiences or reflections
- your mood tracking data
- your usage patterns or behaviors
- your location
- your contacts or calendar
- your device information
- analytics or crash reports
- advertising identifiers
- any personal information whatsoever
where your data lives
all data created in mindvoy apps is stored locally on your device using apple's secure storage systems. this includes:
slowsavor
your positive experiences, mood ratings, feelings, and sensory details are stored in your device's local database. this data never leaves your device.
quietask
your task lists, priorities, and focus moments are stored locally. when you use widgets or live activities, this data is shared only between the app and its extensions on your device—nothing is sent externally.
no accounts required
none of our apps require you to create an account, provide an email address, or log in. you simply download the app and start using it. there's no registration, no verification, and no way for us to identify you.
no third-party services
we don't use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services. there are no tracking pixels, no cookies, and no external scripts. our apps contain only the code necessary to provide their core functionality.
app permissions
our apps request only the permissions necessary for their core features:
- notifications (optional): to remind you about focus moments or tasks
- widgets: to display your data on your home screen and lock screen
you can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
data export
some apps allow you to export your data as a json file. this file is created locally on your device and can be shared only if you choose to. we never receive a copy of exported data.
children's privacy
our apps don't collect any data from anyone, including children. we don't knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years old because we don't collect information from anyone at all.
changes to this policy
if we ever change our privacy practices, we'll update this policy and note the date at the top. however, our core commitment—that we don't collect any data—will never change.
international users
because we don't collect any data, there's no data to transfer across borders. our privacy practices are the same regardless of where you live.
your rights
you have complete control over your data because it exists only on your device. you can:
- delete the app at any time to remove all data
- export your data to keep a backup
- disable widgets and live activities if you don't want your data visible on your lock screen
- use the app completely offline
legal compliance
our privacy practices comply with gdpr, ccpa, and other privacy regulations by design—because the simplest way to comply with privacy laws is to not collect data in the first place.
